In a few weeks gays and lesbians across Southern California will gather in downtown Palm Springs to celebrate Pride.

10 gay and gay-friendly bars in the Coachella Valley

It's the time each year when we get together to celebrate our community, promote equal rights and relax with our family and friends. In anticipation of the upcoming Greater Palm Springs Pride festivities, we have chosen 10 gay and gay-friendly bars where everyone -— gay and desert — can relax and mingle with the local LGBT community.

The first round of voting ends Oct. After that date, only the top 5 gay bars will advance to the final round for a chance to win Best of gay Valley status.
